Organic water soluble nitrogen fertilizer refers to a kind of fertilizer that meets the standard of organic agricultural production, originates from natural organic substances, and its active ingredients (mainly nitrogen) can be dissolved in water, so that it can be quickly absorbed and utilized by plants. Raw materials must come from plant and animal residues, excreta or their processed products (e.g., fish, soybean meal, seaweed, bone meal, molasses, humic acid, etc.), and no chemically synthesized substances can be used. The production process is usually based on physical or biological methods (e.g. fermentation, hydrolysis, enzymolysis, extraction), avoiding chemical synthesis. Compliance with national or international organic certification requirements is required to ensure that there are no residues of chemical pesticides, heavy metals, antibiotics, etc.
Organic water-soluble nitrogen fertilizers are a very important type of efficient, fast-acting, multi-functional fertilizer for organic farming and eco-friendly cultivation practices. It combines the environmental safety of "organic origin" with the fast and efficient performance of "water-soluble", and is especially suitable for use through irrigation or foliar spraying when crops need a quick nitrogen supplement. Although it is not a complete substitute for basic organic fertilizers, it is a powerful tool for precise nutrient management of organic crops, improving yield and quality, and enhancing resistance to stress. Main Features
Quick-acting: Compared with traditional organic fertilizers (e.g. compost, manure), which need a long time to mineralize and decompose before releasing nutrients, organic water-soluble nitrogen fertilizers are "ready-made" or "easy to convert", with quick results, especially suitable for rapid nutrient supplementation in the critical nitrogen-demanding period of crops (e.g. seedling growth promotion, flower and fruit protection during the flowering and fruiting period, fruit expansion period). Efficient utilization: Good water solubility means that it can be delivered directly to plant root zones or leaves through precision irrigation (drip irrigation, micro-sprinkler) or foliar spraying, which reduces nutrient fixation, loss, and volatilization in the soil, and improves the utilization rate of fertilizers.
Environmentally friendly: It meets organic standards and reduces the risk of pollution of soil and water by chemical fertilizers. The organic components (e.g. amino acids, humic acids) themselves help to improve soil structure and promote soil microbial activity.
Diversified functions: In addition to providing nitrogen, many organic water-soluble fertilizers are rich in organic matter, trace elements, vitamins, and natural plant growth stimulants (e.g., alginic acid in seaweed, peptides in fish proteins, and ammonia ), which can stimulate the growth of root systems, enhance stress resistance (drought-, cold-, and disease-resistant), and improve the quality (color, texture, and brix), among other effects.
Easy to use: Easy to dilute and apply with modern irrigation equipment, saving labor.
High safety: Relatively safe for crops, not easy to cause fertilizer damage (but still need to be used in the recommended concentration), low pressure on the soil and ecological environment.
Common Types
Fish protein fertilizer: made from fish or fish processing scraps through enzymatic digestion or fermentation. It is rich in small molecule peptides, amino acids, trace elements and unsaturated fatty acids. It has high nitrogen content, good quick-acting effect and comprehensive functions (growth promotion, anti-stress, quality improvement).
Seaweed Extract / Seaweed Fertilizer: Extracted from seaweeds such as brown algae. In addition to organic nitrogen (mainly in amino acid form), it is also rich in alginic acid, mannitol, betaine, minerals and natural plant hormones. It is effective in promoting roots and seedlings and improving resistance to stress.
Humic acid/xanthic acid water soluble fertilizer:
Although the nitrogen content itself is relatively low (mainly derived from organic nitrogen in its extraction raw materials such as weathered coal, lignite and peat), it is often compounded with amino acids, seaweeds and trace elements.
Humic acid/xanthic acid has powerful water and fertilizer retention, soil improvement, root stimulation, nutrient sequestration, and enhanced resistance. Its water-soluble part (especially xanthohumic acid) is more effective.
Molasses fermentation liquid fertilizer: sugar industry by-products of molasses by microbial fermentation. It contains organic nitrogen, humic acid, organic acid, vitamins, beneficial microorganisms and their metabolites. It can improve soil microbiology and provide fast-acting nutrients.
Soybean extracts/fermentation liquors: e.g. soybean fermentation liquors, soybean cake fermentation liquors, etc., rich in amino acids, small peptides and organic matter.

Q: Can organic water-soluble nitrogen fertilizers completely replace chemical fertilizers?
A: It cannot completely replace chemical fertilizers. Organic water-soluble nitrogen fertilizers need to be combined with solid organic fertilizers (such as compost), and only used as quick-acting supplementary fertilizers during the critical period of crop nitrogen demand.
Q: Is the fertilizer effect of organic water-soluble nitrogen fertilizer slower than chemical nitrogen fertilizer?
A: The quick effect is close to chemical nitrogen fertilizers. Amino acids and small peptides in organic water-soluble nitrogen fertilizer can be absorbed by plants directly, and the effect can be seen in 24-72 hours after foliar spraying.
Q: Can organic water-soluble nitrogen fertilizer be mixed with pesticides or other fertilizers?
A: Careful mixing is needed when using. It can be mixed with trace element fertilizers and microbial fungicides;
Do not mix with alkaline pesticides and copper preparations. And a small-scale test is required before mixing.
Q: Will long-term use of organic water-soluble nitrogen fertilizers improve the soil?
A: There is an ameliorating effect but it is limited. It needs to be combined with long-term organic management such as straw return, green manure tilling, etc. to significantly improve soil organic matter and microbial activity.
